Looking Ahead

I had a great meeting yesterday with the new Executive Director of New Hampshire Humanities, one of our longtime funders.  It is always fruitful to brainstorm ideas with our grant makers about future initiatives. I will be meeting again with their project team next week as we consider how to turn those ideas into reality.

Part of that process includes the feedback I receive from all of you in program evaluations and through short surveys. The book club survey that I sent out with the last newsletter did not provide a consensus on book club interests so if you didn't get a chance to fill that out, please do so here.

For all of 2022 and 2023, all library programming will rely on grants and donations as that line has been nearly eliminated in our town funded budget. For that reason, your feedback is vital when I seek outside funding requests.  Many of you have starred in our Library Love video (below). It is wonderful when YOU tell our grant makers why you love your library!
Thanks for your help!

Be well.  Be safe.  Be kind.
Please feel free to contact me any time at jperrin@jaffreypubliclibrary.org.
Kind regards, Julie M. Perrin, Library Director - a.k.a. Ms. Julie

Relatives visiting for the holidays?

Connect with our Memory Kits

When relatives are visiting, no matter how much we love them, it can be stressful, especially if they are suffering from dementia.  Whether you are a caregiver every day or just for a brief visit, Memory Kits can help.

Memory Kits are designed to provide caregivers and family members with joyful and meaningful ways to engage with loved ones who may be suffering from dementia.

Each kit comes in a sturdy box and contains conversation starters, activities to do together, and caregivers' resources.  They check out on your library card, providing you with ways to connect across generations.
Themed activities vary but include the seaside, family, musical memories, everyday life, animal friends and more.

This project is made possible through a Jaffrey Public Library partnership with Monadnock Adult Care Center/Monadnock Family Services.  Memory Kits are funded by a grant from the Community Center of Jaffrey.
