NACDD is collaborating with CDC and the Alzheimer’s Association to support the Dementia Risk Reduction Summit, a national event focused on reducing the risk of dementia and the links between chronic disease and dementia risk.
NACDD is pleased to announce funding to support travel expenses for Chronic Disease Directors to attend this summit.
The goals of this travel scholarship are to:
Educate Chronic Disease Directors about the relationship of chronic diseases and related risk factors such as diabetes, heart disease, nutrition, physical activity, hearing impairment, traumatic brain injury, and social connectedness to the risk of developing dementia.
Develop state leadership capacity to support the integration of Alzheimer’s risk
messages into chronic disease prevention and control programs.
