Apply for an Age-Friendly Mini-Grant by Today, November 15!
Advance your new or existing age-friendly project in Miami-Dade County! The Miami-Dade Age-Friendly Initiative is granting five (5) $2,500 mini-grants to selected eligible projects that match the following criteria:
Each project must:
target a specific community, group or neighborhood that will benefit from the project
To be eligible to apply, applicant must be a non-profit organization, for-profit company, municipality, agency, or local organization with a great project idea.
For consideration, apply by the deadline:
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
The Miami-Dade Age-Friendly Initiative is a collaborative effort focused on sustainable changes and efforts in order to create a community where older adults of all ages can stay active, engaged, and healthy with dignity and enjoyment.
Our lead agencies include: AARP Florida, Alliance for Aging, Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, Health Foundation of South Florida, Miami-Dade County, Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization, United Way of Miami-Dade, and Urban Health Partnerships.
Miami-Dade now has 13 Age-Friendly Communities! Municipalities in Miami-Dade that have joined the age-friendly network include: Miami-Dade County, Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, City of Miami, Doral, Healthy West Kendall, Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, and Miami Shores.
