Dear brothers and sisters
As well as our usual 1045 with Junior Church, we have an evening service coming up as it’s the first Sunday of the month. This is at 4.00pm rather than 6.00pm, following the pattern of meeting earlier in the winter months (now the clocks have gone back). Everyone is of course welcome; the style is a bit more “by-the-book” and formal than our morning services and all our hymns are on the organ; this month it is Communion. We are following a little series in Luke’s Gospel on why Jesus came. He said he “came to call not the righteous, but sinners” (
Luke 5:27-32).
Our World Mission Focus for November-December is
Samaritan’s Purse. More information will follow in our services. Any cash in the plate goes to our World Mission Focus; if you give by bank transfer or standing order, or by using the card reader in church, it goes into the church general fund unless you send a message to Rita the treasurer saying you would like it to go to the world mission focus (ask for her email address or pop a note into the wall box).
For ladies, tickets are selling like hot cakes for the Christmas-Pudding-Making-Evening on Thursday 17
th November. It’s a great opportunity to invite a friend who wouldn’t normally come to church, to meet others from the church, have fun together, get a delicious pudding sorted, and hear some Christmas reflections this year by Anne-Marie. Pick up a flyer in church and contact
Becky to book or to get social media invitations to pass on.
God bless you. See you on Sunday, morning and/or afternoon.
