To all our men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, thank you for your service.

From the Pastor
Rev. Dr. Sonja Tobey

We are getting close to the end of our worship series Words of Life: Jesus and the Promise of the Ten Commandments Today. This week we are looking at the commandment to not testify falsely against your neighbor.  This is a particularly timely now when so many untruths create division in our denomination and country.  Join us Sunday at 10:45 am in person or at 11 am on Facebook and YouTube.  If you missed a message in the "Words of Life" worship series, you can find them on our YouTube channel or Facebook page.

A few weeks ago, I mailed out a letter with a commitment card for 2023 giving.  Some of you have returned your commitment.  Thank you!  We will be blessing these commitment cards on November 20th.  If you have not yet returned them, you can do so on the 20th.  Please pray about how God is calling you to support the work of your church in the coming year. If you have lost your commitment card, you may pick up one at the church.  If you need one mailed to you, please let us know.

Check out the news below, and I'll see you Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Rev. Dr. Sonja Tobey

UWF Still Collecting Sneakers

New sneakers slightly used sneakers, old sneakers, and sneakers you bought but really don’t like. Men’s, women’s, and children’s sneakers are needed. It seems everyone wears sneakers these days.  What do you do with the old ones? St. Paul’s UWF will take them!

UMW is collecting all those sneakers, (and only sneakers) for a fund raiser. We will bag them up & send them off to Gotsneakers.com who will pay us, depending on condition. The newer the sneaker, the more we money collect. Name brands are also more valuable. The company then ships them to developing countries.

So, find those sneakers in your closet, mud room or back patio and bring them to St. Paul’s, put them in the sneaker box in the foyer.  Money collected from the fund raiser is used to support local, state, and world missions.
