Boonton UMC

November 13, 2022
23rd Sunday after Pentecost

Sunday worship at 11:15am -
In-Person and on YouTube
Boonton UMC: A fun, musical, relevant, relational, and compassionate church
where people find hope, healing, and wholeness.
We often think of blessings as things we receive. While it is true that God, by grace, freely gives us all that we have, we are not just passive recipients of God’s blessings.

Just as God blesses us through people in our lives, so does God promise to bless others through us. When we live from a place of gratitude for God’s gifts and trust in God’s provision, we can be agents of God’s blessing in our world.

Join us for week 2 of our newest series, "Releasing God's Blessings," as we continue delving into 2 Corinthians 9 together!

Whether in-person or on YouTube, we look forward to seeing you at 11:15am this Sunday!

2022 Christmas Cantata
Sunday, December 18th

Calling All Singers!
Do you enjoy singing and could make a short term
commitment to the church choir? We would love to have you join the choir as we begin preparations for the Christmas Cantata titled, "Song of Joy." Rehearsals will begin very soon on Sundays at 10:15 am in the Choir Room. Please contact Karen at church or email her at karbrass@gmail.com if you are interested. We'd love to have YOU join us!
A Special Message from Pastor Donald at Our Annual Church Conference
Jesus reminds us in Luke 16:10 that if we are faithful with a little, we will be faithful with much. However small or large what we have been given is perceived to be, may we continue to be faithful stewards of all God has given us as we live our lives as a witness for Christ, wherever the Spirit leads in our mission and ministry together.

In a season where all churches are having to question what success looks like amid a post-pandemic landscape and various challenges, let us remember that God does not call us to be successful, but faithful. Mother Theresa once said, “Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.” And as we continue to show ourselves faithful with small things, I believe much bigger things will be placed in our hands.

As many have said before, small though our church may be, Boonton UMC is so very mighty. And it is because of the faithfulness of our congregants, grounded first and always in the faithfulness of Christ to us, that we have seen such goodness and light stream forth from our actions, initiatives, and ministries. And God's not done with us yet! More goodness and light is still to come, and I can't wait to see how Boonton UMC continues to light up our surrounding communities and world.
