Surah Saffat 37:154-157

مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ١٥٤ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ١٥٥ أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ١٥٦ فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ١٥٧

Translation

What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Will you not then be mindful? Or do you have ˹any˺ compelling proof? Or do you have ˹any˺ compelling proof?

Hadith:

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the parable of myself and the people is that of a man who kindled a fire. When it lighted what was around it, moths and insects started falling into the fire. The man tried to pull them out, but they overcame him and rushed into it. I take hold of your belts to keep you from falling in, yet you rush into it.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6118, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2284

FUNDRAISER AFTER JUMU'AH PRAYERS
Darul UIoom Austin (DUA), Austin's only full-time Qur'an Hifdh school, will conduct a short fundraiser after the Jumu'ah prayers tomorrow.  Please donate generously for this noble cause.

2023 MONTHLY CALENDAR

The Programs Calendar will display our planned activities for the next 5-6 weeks at any given time.

"GO GREEN" INITIATIVE @ ICBC
We have launched new program at our masjid, Go-Green Initiative, that is driven mostly by our dedicated volunteers. 

• Please use the Recycle Bins for recycling plastic and paper material(s).
• We will not have water in plastic bottles anymore.  Please carry your own reusable water bottles from home, if needed.  Filtered (drinking) water is available at the water fountains located in the Men’s and Sisters' lobby areas as well as the 2nd floor. 
• With some community members riding their bicycles to the masjid, we have installed a Bike Rack at our Center.

As per the ICBC Constitution & bylaws, only ICBC voting members can vote in the elections.  The updated voting membership roster has been posted at the bulletin boards located in the Men's and Sisters lobby areas. Please check the list and report any inaccuracies via email to info@icbrushycreek.org

CONDUCTING NIKAH AT ICBC

The ICBC Imam can officiate nikah at our masjid. To conduct a nikah (marriage) at ICBC, please complete the online application that can be accessed at the following link.  https://icbrushycreek.org/programs/community/  Alternately, you can submit the application in person to the ICBC Imam.  A Certificate of Nikah is provided by ICBC only after presenting evidence of a civil marriage license.

SAFETY AT ICBC PREMISES

We have been notified of vehicles going above the speed limit within our parking lot.  With increased attendance at our masjid including children, this poses a serious risk to everyone.  Please observe the posted speed limits.

We also request everyone to be very careful when entering and exiting our premises from/to Brushy Creek Road.  The safety and security of our community members is of paramount importance to us.  May Allah SWT keep us all safe.
 

Update on Education & Activities Center

Alhamdu lillah, we are pleased to share the good news that the City of Cedar Park has approved the Site Development plan and the Building Plans for the new phase of the ICBC Master Plan--the Education and Activities Center (EAC).  The Construction committee has initiated the contractor search process.  We have received several bids and are reviewing them at this time.  We will keep you updated.
