CELEBRATE
Our JUNIOR GIRLS CROSS-COUNTRY Team placed 21 out of 33 teams at OFSSA on Nov. 5, 2022. It was the second-best team in YRAA. Congratulations to Danielle G., Hannah M., Rachel M., and Sienna G.
THE ALUMNI VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT was a fun and wonderful event! Over 40 alumni returned and played in a very competitive and well-played tournament - our ninth one and first since 2019. Team "VanOfwegen" defeated Team "Schuurman" in the finals. The oldest playing alumnus came from the class of 1986! We look forward to next year's tournament scheduled for Sat., Nov. 11.
On Friday, the school held a memorable and moving REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY for all students. We are thankful for our freedoms and hope that the peace that passes all understanding may help us, as a world and country, prevent the pain, hurt, and horrors that come with war.

- We will take you through TDChristian’s Identity Statement
- Outline how the school is run (governance and bylaws).
- We will share our stories and ask you to share your story of learning about TDChristian and/or how it and Christian education have figured into your life or learning.
- You will have an opportunity to ask questions about TDChristian and how it is run.
- At the end, you can apply to for membership, if desired.

DAY by DAY
MONDAY, Nov. 14: The SENIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL TEAM hosts Dr. J.M. Denison Secondary School at 4 p.m. in a YRAA A/AA Semi-final. The winner goes on to play in the finals on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. (Markham District High School)
TUESDAY, Nov. 15: The SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM hosts Woodbridge College after school in a YRAA A/AA Semi-final. The winner goes on to play in the finals on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. (Stephen Lewis Secondary School).
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 16: ZOOM NEW MEMBERS MEETING at 7 p.m. Read about it in the box above if you are interested in attending.
THURSDAY, Nov. 17: PARENTS & GUARDIANS EVENING ON HIGH SCHOOL CULTURE at 7 p.m. in the Presentation Centre.
- Discuss current concerns and issues with other TDChristian parents and guardians.
- Get advice from our panel of a pastor, doctor, police officer, and guidance person.
- Each family can earn TWO Parent/Guardian volunteer hours for attending. Students do NOT normally attend this event.

FRIDAY, Nov. 18: PROJECT DAY 3
- Period 3 teachers should post the assignments by the end of Monday's class.
- Students who need support may make arrangements with the Learning Commons teachers.

- TDChristian would like to get or buy a 18' to 24' ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREE. If you have a one or can help us make a connection to get or buy one at a good price, contact info@tdchristian.ca.
- We may have an opportunity to get four to six foot sections of a maple and chestnut tree. If you can or might be able to TRANSPORT such sections from the Newmarket area to TDChristian, please contact Rod Dengerink at 416-436-0011.

UP & COMING
- The FALL MEMBERSHIP MEETING is at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 24. All parents, guardians, supporters, and members will be sent a meeting package. Each family that has at least one parent or guardian present in-person earns TWO and a HALF Parent/Guardian volunteer hours. RSVP to marg@tdchristian.ca. Only members who attend in-person are permitted to vote.
- If you wish to view the FALL MEMBERSHIP MEETING via Zoom (NO volunteer hours and no voting privileges) to see and hear what is happening, email marg@tdchristian.ca.
- ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL LITERACY TEST (OSSLT) is on November 29. It will be written by Grade 10 students, as well as some senior students. An important EDSBY MESSAGE was sent to all families of students who are writing. Please read and respond to it.There are FOUR after school sessions during which students can get help in preparing for it.

EAST-WEST HOCKEY GAME: Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Be part of a game that during some of TDChristian's early decades was an annual battle between those east and west of Highway 27. Past and current students, and past and current parents are invited to play in this classic to be held at the Woodbridge Arena. If you wish to participate, email hoving@tdchristian.ca
60th YEAR CONCERT: Thursday, Apr. 20, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Vaughan Community Church. We are inviting musicians from the past and present to celebrate God's gift of music throughout TDChristian's history.
