RAIDER EVENT COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER CHAIRPERSON OPENING
Raider Events Committee Chair - St. Paul’s Lutheran School is looking for a WELS or ELS person interested in becoming the chair of our Raider Events Committee. This position is critical for planning and organizing fellowship events for St. Paul’s families and staff. If you are interested, contact Mr. Pete Markgraf at principal@splnewulm.org. Please consider whether you can use your gifts at St. Paul’s. This is a volunteer position and hours ebb and flows during the year.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
First, students have a half day on Thursday, Nov. 10. Dismissal is at 11:30am. We will NOT serve lunch. There is no school on Friday, Nov. 11.

Second, Parent/Teacher Conferences are a critical way for parents and teachers to communicate to better the children’s learning. We expect all families to meet with their child’s teacher.
PARADE OF LIGHTS INVITE
All of our St. Paul’s families are invited to walk with us in the Parade of Lights. This event is sponsored by John and Paul Ministries. The parade is scheduled for Nov 25th from 6-7pm. Meet at the John and Paul Ministries banner before the parade starts.
LOST AND FOUND TABLE
The lost and found items will be set out on tables until Parent / Teacher Conferences. If you are missing clothing since the beginning of the school year, we likely have it in our lost and found. Please stop in to take a look! Any items left on Monday 11/14 will be donated to the Treasure Haus.
NOVEMBER MOVIE NIGHT
Everyone is invited to our next Movie Night on Saturday, November 19, at 5:30 PM in the St. Paul's School gym. As usual, there will be full concessions with pizza, popcorn, candy, etc. served. We hope to see many of you there!
WELS YOUTH NIGHT
WELS Youth Night will be held on November 20 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Beacon Campus Center in Mankato. Teens in grade 9 and up are invited to attend this local youth rally. Use this form to register and contact Mr. Kuschel (kkuschel@splnewulm.org) for travel information.
NO SCHOOL DATES IN NOVEMBER
Here is a reminder for days off in November. The first one is this Friday, November 4 for a Teachers’ Work Day. During the following week students are excused early, 11:30 am, on Thursday, November 10, and no school on Friday, November 11 for Parent/Teacher Conferences. After a full week, we have a two day week for Thanksgiving. Days off that week are Wednesday-Friday, November 23-25.
GET TO KNOW OUR TEACHERS
Each of the teachers has provided some fun and unique facts about himself/herself. We plan to share this information so that you can make your own guess as to who might have experienced these three fun facts.

Share your thoughts on the Raider Events Committee Facebook page. We will publish the identity of the mystery teacher on the Facebook page as well.
CHRISTMAS PRESERVICE MUSIC SIGNUP
November is upon us and so is the time to start thinking about music for Christmas Eve. Each year, the students from St. Paul’s Church play the pre-service music for the two Children’s Christmas Eve Services. This year we are again looking for St. Paul’s students in grades 3-8 that are interested in playing. You can play any instrument that you are taking lessons on. (piano, band instrument, guitar, violin…) You can do a solo or get a small group together to play. If you are from St. Paul’s Church and are interested in playing, please go to the School office and pick up a form from Mrs. Miller. You must fill out the form and hand it to Mr. Biedenbender to be allowed to play. All forms are to be returned NO LATER than December 13. Please contact Mr. Biedenbender if you have any questions. Thank you!

Once again, the St. John's piano and instrumental students have the opportunity to praise God with their music by playing preservice music either on Sunday, December 18, before the 11:00 a.m. Sunday School Christmas Service or on Saturday, December 24, before the 4:00 p.m. Children's Christmas Eve Service. Forms with the guidelines can be picked up from Mrs. Balza in her classroom or in the narthex at St. John's church. Forms should be submitted by Dec. 7. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Balza. Thank you!
SPLAT
SPLaT will meet on Saturday, November 12 from 7:00-8:30pm at St. Paul's Church. All teens in grade 7 and older are welcome! Join us for games, activities, and Bible Study. Wear active clothing and bring a snack to share.
KNOWLEDGE BOWL MEET HELP NEEDED
Knowledge Bowl Meet helpers are needed on Friday, November 18th. St. Paul's Church is hosting a number of area schools for this competition. Help will be needed in the morning to help teams register, direct traffic, and distribute donuts and juice. Please contact Kris Kuschel (kkuschel@splnewulm.org) if you are available and interested.
