Free Learning Series "Little Kids, Big World" Featured at North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum
BISMARCK, N.D. – Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the free interactive learning series "Little Kids, Big World" at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. These interactive 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
"Little Kids, Big World" classes, led by educator Sarah Fox, are offered in a large public space with social distancing considerations. Each child is provided with their own supplies. Children and their parents or guardians are asked to meet at the east entrance information desk.
Dec. 3 "Animal Adaptations," 10 and 11 a.m. Learn about changes animals make in the winter to stay safe and warm.
Dec. 10 "Winter Clothing," 12 p.m. People wear a lot of clothing to keep warm in cold weather. Study the different types of winter clothing, and get creative decorating mittens.
Dec. 17 "Christmas Crafts," 10 and 11 a.m. Enjoy a Christmas story and create a holiday craft.
Dec. 23 "‘Twas ALMOST the Night Before Christmas," 10 and 11 a.m. Listen to a Christmas story and make a Christmas craft to welcome the holiday.
Dec. 31 "Snowflakes," 10 and 11 a.m. Did you know that no two snowflakes are alike? Hear a story about snowflakes and make one that is uniquely yours.
