Another Reason Avoidance is Best — Judge Denies Motion to Dismiss Civil Suit Against Acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse
Concealed Carry Inc.

"You would be wrong if you figured Kyle Rittenhouse's legal battle ended when a court acquitted him of murder and other charges for justifiably shooting 3 men in self defense. This is yet another example of why, if possible, avoiding conflict is always the wisest action."

Does Gun Control Save Lives or Cost Lives?
SlowFacts

"The world is violent. Lots of people think that we should pass more laws to make the world safer and less violent. It sounds obvious that we could reduce the number of criminals who use weapons by passing more gun-control laws....I’ve been looking at the subject of gun-control and personal safety for a decade. I think gun-control laws put us at risk. The reasons are complex and not necessarily obvious."

...here is a quick set of guidelines to reference as you start or expand on a personal security journey."

Texas Handgun Association's
Q & A
by Larry Arnold

Question
I'm trying to understand this chart: https://txhga.org/texas-ltc-information/where-can-you-carry/

Does "misd." stand for misdemeanor? If so, why are their several locations that is legal for nonlicensed individuals to carry and misdemeanor for licensed individuals. Thanks, Brian L.

Answer
The two locations where that is true are those involving 30.06 and 30.07 signs on privately owned premises. The 30.06 sign prohibits licensed concealed carry, but not licensed open carry or nonlicensed carry. The 30.07 sign prohibits licensed open carry, but not licensed concealed carry or nonlicensed carry. In order to prohibit unlicensed carry a venue has to post the 30.05 sign.

The signs can be used in combination to prohibit different kinds of carry. For instance, our local grocery posts 30.05 and 30.07, but not 30.06. Therefore it’s a misdemeanor to carry without a license, or to open carry with a license, but patrons can legally conceal carry with a license.

I hope this clears things up.
