Pastor Note:

This Sunday, our service will begin at 10am, but will end in time for those who wish to attend the Multifaith Service at Princeton University Chapel.

From the Coalition for Peace Action: 
Rabbi David Saperstein will preach for the Multifaith Service for Peace at 11 AM at Princeton University Chapel. All are welcome to attend in person or via livestream at youtube.com/officeofreligiouslifeprinceton. 
Newsweek has called Rabbi Saperstein the most influential Rabbi in America. For 40 years he was Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. He subsequently served as US Ambassador for International Religious Freedom during the Obama Administration. Faith leaders from a wide range of major world religions will co-lead the liturgy.

Sala is a monthly fellowship which is hosted by a member who shares their “knowing” with the group or coordinates an event for a most special evening. Refreshments are served followed by a guided meditation and then an activity or presentation/group discussion chosen by the host. Sala is an all inclusive, safe , sober, and beautiful space to feed one’s soul!


 
The next DVD Night is Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Victor and Thomas set off together on what becomes a transformational trip from Idaho to Arizona.
They use storytelling as a currency and defense mechanism,
as well as a way of bonding with the people they meet along the way.
Please join us for this bitter-sweet story beautifully told.

 
Our Stewardship Efforts 
"You are indispensable. We are insufficient without you. 
We come to deeper wholeness when you are present."
 
Please join us next Thursday, Nov 17, to stuff envelopes for the Stewardship effort. We'll meet at 7pm, during and following choir rehearsal. 
 
The Stewardship timeline looks something like this:
Nov 17 - Envelope stuffing event at church in the evening (join us!).
Nov 18 - Stewardship letters and pledge cards get mailed to Church Community (in the actual mail!).
Nov 19 - Dec 17 Discussion at home about the letter and the ways each family/each person can give.
Nov 20 - Dec 18 Pledge cards returned to church!

Our Bible study meets following the 10 AM services (2nd, 4th, & 5th Sundays).
 
Bible Study will begin about 10-15 minutes after the end of worship and will conclude by 12:15. It is discussion-oriented, and we welcome the input and insights of all participants. 

Our discussion is based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the Sunday following the one we meet for the Bible Study.

We will not meet on Nov 13 because of the Multifaith Service at Princeton University Chapel.

Prayers of the People

"This is my prayer."
For our communities and our nation as the election results create anxiety for some and excitement for others. Let us offer support and grace to one another.
For comfort and a way forward for those experiencing violence and oppression.
For healing and comfort for all who are experiencing sickness and grief. 
For comfort and healing for all of our siblings who live with mental illness.
Continued prayers for discernment and grace for the Pastoral Search Committee and the Stewardship Team.
For the constant renewal of the energy and spirits of our church Council and Pastor.
