This Weeks Prayer Points
Pacific islands: At COP27, the representative from Tuvalu highlighted the extreme problems facing their population and these of other islands due to sea levels rising. Pray for those nations as they face the prospect of possibly having to move the entire people-group to another location. Pray for the International community to be willing to help them and ask for wisdom for those involved in this. Also pray for those worldwide whose mental health is affected by anxiety caused by climate change.
Russia/Ukraine: Pray about the effects of the condemnation by 94 nations at the G20 summit of Russia and its war on Ukraine. Continue to pray for the Lord's intervention so that the war can end. Grain exports are still being delayed to nations that need them desperately, and amid the celebrations of the liberation of Kherson, horrific reports are emerging of human rights abuses and there have been fresh strikes against many cities. Pray for all who are suffering so much.
Qatar: Pray for those who will be travelling to the football championships and for the impact this will have on the country. There has been controversy over the human rights abuses of workers who built the stadiums etc.. Some have died in accidents. They are mainly from Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Philippines. Pray for justice for their families.

Israel/West Bank: Pray about the recent election results which will result in a hard-line policy from Israel towards the Palestinians, and for all those on both sides of the long-running conflict affected by violence. Pray for Christians from both communities that they may be peacemakers.
Democratic Republic of Congo: Pray for all who are fleeing from the terrorist group M23 which is backed by Rwanda. Many are heading towards the city of Goma. Pray for Christians to be able to offer support.

B.Y.F.C: Give thanks for Neil being able to attend the meetings in Germany of National Directors in Europe. Pray for the team in Halesowen and beyond as they reach out to many young people throughout the country and ask for wisdom for Neil as they try to follow the Lord's leading. Continue prayer for Joy's counselling and the rest of the family.
