Last Sunday we continued our series, That's Not Fair, with Pastor Rob's sermon, Unfair Healings. In both services, we also celebrated All Saints' Sunday by remembering our loved ones with the lighting of candles.

DECK THE HALLS DINNER & MOVIE
Sunday, November 20 | 4:00-7:30 pm
Join us in decorating the church from 4:00-5:30 pm while enjoying seasonal treats and listening to Christmas music. This year we are also including dinner and a movie! Dinner will begin at 5:30, and then at 6:00, we’ll watch A Christmas Carol together. Please RSVP for dinner to Pastor Nikki by November 14 to ensure we have enough food.

DEKALB COUNTY FRIENDSGIVING
Wednesday, November 23 | 5:00-6:00 pm
We are excited to partner once again with DeKalb FriendsGiving for their 9th annual FriendsGiving! There are a few changes to this year’s event as it will be held on the evening BEFORE Thanksgiving this year. EVERYONE is welcome to come and dine with us in Fellowship Hall. What a great opportunity to eat with friends and make some new ones! Meals will also be available for carryout. There will NOT be a drive-thru this evening. If you are looking for more information or would like to volunteer visit their website.

PRESCHOOL ATRIUM UPDATE
First of all, we want to say a big THANK YOU to all who have donated to the Preschool Atrium Project! We are grateful for the generosity and support of First UMC.
Secondly, the expected installment date has come and gone. Unfortunately, there was a small hiccup in the approval process, but we are back on track. We do not have a solid installment date just yet, but hope to see one soon.

FAMILY CHRISTMAS CAMPOUT
Saturday, December 3 | 9:30-12:00 pm
Join us for a super exciting morning full of interactive opportunities to learn, play, and connect with others. We’ll gather around the “campfire” and celebrate the season with a fun camping trip at the church while learning about the gift of Jesus. An RSVP is not required but encouraged. BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR JESUS
Sunday, December 18 | 10:00 am
During Sunday School, scripts and costumes for our Impromptu Christmas play will be handed out—no rehearsing, no stress. We’ll act out the story of Christ’s birth together during the Chapter 2 service at 10:45! We’ll conclude the service by singing “Happy Birthday” and eating birthday cake for Jesus together. Gluten-free cake will be available.

COTTAGE MEETINGS
Wednesdays from October 12 - November 16 | 6:00-7:00 pm
This Fall Pastor Rob hopes to have a conversation with as many church members as possible. To accomplish this, he will be leading Cottage Meetings every Wednesday night from October 12th through November 16th in The Commons. Any are welcome to come for an informal get-to-know-you and to discuss the life of the church here at First UMC.
If Wednesday evenings do not work for you but you or one of your groups/teams are interested in meeting with Pastor Rob at another time, please contact the church office to set up a time that will work for you.

YOUTH MISSION TRIP INFO MEETING
Monday, November 14 | 6:00 pm
Join us for an informational meeting for our youth mission trip next year! We will be traveling to Peru, and working alongside Frontline Peru Mission and Community as well as a local UM church. Anyone interested in going on the mission trip should plan on attending this meeting. If you want to go, but cannot make the meeting, please email Ally, and she can set up a time to meet with you.

TUESDAY MORNING WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Tuesdays | 11-12 pm
This is a group for women to meet and work together through topics relevant to our life and faith. We may read books, listen to podcasts or perhaps find a TV series that we can follow. They meet Tuesday mornings at 11 am at the church in room D008. Contact the group leader, Pastor Nikki, to let her know you'd like to join and if you have any study suggestions.

FIRST'S PUB CLUB
November 17 | 7:30-8:30 pm
If you like great drinks and greater company and conversation then First’s Pub Club is a group for you. We meet every 3rd Thursday at Auburn Brewing Company from 7:30-8:30pm. Bring a positive story to share. It can be anything that is giving you joy from the news, your life, or something else. Look for our sign and Joe Schultis, our fearless facilitator. We hope to see you there!
