Dear Chapter Members,
As Hurricane Nicole moves out of the area tomorrow, the City of Savannah has rescheduled the Veteran's Day parade for Saturday at 9:00 am. This will impact traffic downtown in the historical district. However, Lutheran Church of the Ascension is outside the parade perimeter.
Below is a map of the parade route provided by the City of Savannah. Ascension Lutheran Church is located on Wright Square between Drayton, State, Bull, and President Streets. Ascension has a smallish parking lot in which you can park. It is located on the corner of Drayton and State (both one-way streets) but will have to be accessed by State St. as Drayton will be closed at Oglethorpe. Or click here to use your GPS.
Unfortunately, the event cannot be postponed to later in the day, so please plan to leave extra early. We hope this development does not quell turnout and the opportunity to hear from the esteemed Dr. Fishell!
