As MI-AIMH continues their annual fundraising campaign, I am filled with many emotions and an awareness that this is true for all of us. While we each grapple with concerns around the physical and mental health of our families, communities and workplaces, I am more aware than ever of how important it is that we understand and invest in relationships at every level. This continues to be at the core of the work that we do in MI-AIMH.

Reflecting upon my own decades long career in the field of infant and early childhood mental health brings those relationships into sharp focus.  Opportunities to learn, grow, collaborate, dream, create, develop skill and take risks have been gifts that the MI-AIMH community has afforded me – many of those have been received while supporting and working alongside others pursuing their own growth. MI-AIMH’s future health depends upon our ability to expand those opportunities for many practitioners who have not yet experienced being seen and supported by us in this way. I am confident that we are moving towards changing that. Your gift of financial support can help make a reality that all professionals who are serving babies, young children and their caregiving adults feel a part of, and are served by, our MI-AIMH community in this way.
