Hello water recreators and protectors!

We wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone who has submitted your data to our interactive water use map to protect our water quality standards! We've seen an impressive turnout from so many of you!

While the interactive map is no longer receiving data, you have until November 28th at 11:59pm to submit your data directly to the NY State DEC. We would like as many comments as possible in order to ensure that the DEC best understands waterway usage as they review water quality standards.
How you can participate:

There are two ways to submit your feedback:
1) Through a DEC survey which can be accessed here.
2)
Written comments to the DEC can also be sent directly to WQSrulemakings@dec.ny.gov by email or by snail mail to:
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation
625 Broadway, 4th Floor
Albany, NY 112233-3500
ATTN: Michelle Tompkins

For more information on this process please check out our latest blog post here or visit the DEC web page here.

Thank you all for your collective support of our waterways!
