I (Dawn)  just returned from a trip with our trainees in Los Angeles, mostly in the Long Beach area. Each year, I host a training retreat for our new staff and interns across the country. I rotate through the cities we have ministries, and this year we happen to have more of our trainees on the west coast, so I decided to have it in L.A. for them.

 

One of my favorite parts of these trips is getting to know our amazing staff

We had a blast seeing what God is doing in the L.A. ministry and learning from their team. There is a rich history in that place of God doing amazing things through young people, and this current chapter is no exception. They have several movements there with hundreds of students. We spent our days in God's word, in prayer, and training in 3 short days, we trained them on how to explain Cru and to present Jesus to students, as well as how to relate with students of different backgrounds. Our group was able to minister and serve on 7 of their 10 campuses. I was personally out there too, sharing with students... after sharing Jesus with a few teen boys in Compton, I feel like I can do anything!
