Update on campus climate survey regarding sexual misconduct; facilitated forum Nov. 14
President Wente and Vice President Kidd Brown sent an update on the University’s first campus climate survey focused solely on sexual misconduct and related issues, as well as the University’s other efforts surrounding the campus climate during the past year. Students are invited to participate in a facilitated forum on Monday, November 14 in which we will share the results, review current prevention initiatives, and discuss possible future strategies to implement.
Upcoming academic dates and deadlines
For undergraduate students, the last day to change from pass/fail to a letter grade in an approved full-term class is Nov. 11. Requests for credit overloads for Spring 2023 start Nov. 14. The last day to change from pass/fail to a letter grade in an approved second part-of-term class is Nov. 18. Graduate and professional school students should consult their individual programs for key dates.
Reminder: if you see suspicious activity, your first call should be to the police
We want to remind students that if you see something concerning or suspicious, your first call should be to the police:
If you are off campus, dial 911.
If you are on campus, call WFU Police Department at 336.758.5911 if it is the type of situation where you would call 911; for non-emergency situations, call 336.758.5591, or use the LiveSafe app.
Do not assume that someone else has reported it. Also, please be aware that posting information on social media or sharing it with family, friends, or a student organization group chat/text/email does not notify the police of the situation. Please contact the police directly as soon as possible to report an incident or emergency.
