LATE NIGHT SHOPPING
Kick off the Christmas season with late-night shopping!
We invite you to keep your business open until 8 p.m. We will promote all businesses that stay open late on our social media accounts. Email Sierra at sierra@parkerpr.ca if you are interested in participating by November 18.
We will have live music and a visit from Santa Claus in the plaza along Kensington Road. We will light the Christmas Tree, warm up by the fire pits and celebrate the start of Christmas in Kensington!

CHRISTMAS IN KENSINGTON
With the first snowfalls of the season providing a cool welcome to our city, it's hard to believe holidays are already less than two months away. We are excited for another fun run of Christmas in Kensington this year and wanted to update you on the events.
WEEKEND ACTIVATIONS
Patrons can expect a roster of local musicians performing in the plaza along Kensington Road on Saturdays, along with special visits from Santa and his elves. The ever-popular sleigh rides are back for attendees to explore the winter wonderland that is Kensington. In addition, a giant chess board will be set up for entertainment, along with fire pits and hot chocolate to warm your bones.
Activations will take place from noon - 3 p.m. on:

Saturday, December 10
Saturday, December 17 (All from Noon - 3 p.m.)
GIFT GUIDE
We are preparing a gift guide to share on our social media accounts to promote shopping local this holiday season. Please email Sierra at sierra@parkerpr.ca an item you would like to include in the gift guide by November 18.
FOOD DRIVE
We are bringing back the food drive! Let us know if you would like us to deliver a box for you to collect non-perishable items for the Veteran's Food Bank. We will kick off the food drive on November 24 and collect the boxes December 20. Email Sierra at sierra@parkerpr.ca if you are interested in participating.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY - November 26
In addition to our Christmas in Kensington activations taking place on November 26, we are inviting businesses to participate in CFIB's Small Business Saturday.
What is Small Business Saturday®?
Small Business Saturday is a one-day celebration to champion shopping small at the start of the busy holiday shopping season. It’s well-established in the US (generating a reported $19.8bn in 2020*) and awareness is growing in Canada. But we want to make it bigger!
CFIB is calling on small businesses, to get involved by offering Small Business Saturday sales for their customers and promoting the day to their communities.
If you are interested in participating, you can access the free toolkit created by CFIB. The toolkit includes posters, digital images, a direct mail template, and an event planning checklist. Here are the links: cfib.ca/BIA-toolkit
We would love to see you customize our 2022 tools or even create your own designs! You will find design assets including the logos and graphics here, and the colour palette here.
