AQUAPONICS CERTIFICATE COURSE
WOMEN'S ENVIRONMENTAL INSTITUTE


Aquaponic farming is the art and science of growing fish and plants together in a closed-loop indoor ecosystem where fish waste is turned into plant nutrients. It’s a great way to grow nutrient-dense food year-round, and WEI’s Certificate in Beginning Aquaponics will give you the foundation you need to get started. Combining lecture, hands-on experience, and site visits, this 7-month training course will follow an annual aquaponic cycle with expert Chad Hebert.

WHEN: 2nd Sunday of each month, from November 2022-May 2023 (the first class is Sunday, Nov. 13, 1:30-4 p.m.)

ST. CROIX FESTIVAL THEATRE PRESENTS
HIROYA TSUKAMOTO: JAPANESE GUITARIST
NOVEMBER 13 - 7:30PM


Hiroya is a one-of-a-kind composer, guitarist, and singer-songwriter from Kyoto, Japan. He began playing the five-string banjo when he was thirteen and took up the guitar shortly after.

In 2000, Hiroya received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and came to the United States. He formed his own group in Boston “INTEROCEANICO (inter-oceanic)” which consists of unique musicians from different continents including Latin Grammy Colombian singer Marta Gomez. The group released three acclaimed records (“The Other Side of the World”, “Confluencia” and “Where the River Shines”). Hiroya has released three solo albums (“Solo”, “Heartland” and “Places”).

Hiroya is well acclaimed for his passionate, innovative musical style which has been described as creating a mood of peace and tranquility. 

Hiroya Tsukamoto will perform Sunday, November 13th at 7:30pm at Festival Theatre. The show is family friendly. Tickets are available online at festivaltheatre.org or by calling Festival's Box Office at (715) 483-3387.
