November 13 is Harvest Sunday. It’s a day for encouraging generosity and supporting benevolence. The Holiday Feast from Friends bags you’ve been filling is a big part of this.
The Apostle Paul states, “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)
Churches often get bad press when it comes to money. Sadly, sometimes it’s warranted when reports reveal the scandalous misuse of funds. Northwest, however, is blessed with an entire team who works to ensure all finances are handled Godly and legally.
Churches also do a great deal of good for local communities as well as help with global needs. These good deeds are rarely reported because “good news” often doesn’t make the news.
Harvest Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate the blessing of giving and reignite our passion for people in need. Our giving makes a difference.
