Newsletter Chairman's Note
Dear friends of ESCL,
the year is going by fast and we can already see the last weeks coming up.
The fall is as always packed with many appointments, meetings and congresses, which can now take place not only digitally, but also live. Nevertheless, I would like to draw your attention today to our successful webinar series on European construction law topics, which will start again on 29 November 2022. Our colleague Roberto Panetta has again put together an exciting program with interesting topics and excellent speakers that will accompany us over the coming weeks. You can read more about it further down in this newsletter. As always, participation is free of charge this year. I call on you all to participate actively!
Sad news has reached us from Vienna. Our former president of ESCL, Prof. Dr Alfons Huber, has recently passed away. With him we lose an integral personality of the Austrian and the European societies for construction law. Our thoughts accompany his family.
Dear colleagues, may I wish you many interesting meetings in the coming weeks, not too much stress and hectic, but at the same time good business and inspiring moments. Stay healthy, see you soon,

ESCL Webinars 2022
The European Society of Construction Law is organizing a Webinar Program that is an initiative aiming at new interesting online events on specific subjects on construction law that will be delivered to a large audience around the globe by way of webinars.
The webinars last 1 hour per each and are addressed to lawyers, engineers, architects and to any other people interested in European Construction Law and alternative dispute resolution methods. Attendance of all webinars is free of charge! All webinars will be recorded.

We regret to have to bring you the sad news that the Honorary President of the Austrian Society of Construction Law, Prof. Dr. Alfons Huber, has recently passed away.
Alfons Huber was instrumental in the founding of the Austrian Society and, as President, he has shaped the fortunes of the society for a decade. He was also an enthusiastic promoter and supporter of the ESCL. Among other things, he chaired the 2001 conference in Vienna as ESCL President.
We remember him as a very friendly person, who was always genuinely interested and who brought knowledge, wisdom and fun to the meetings of the ESCL.
