<<First Name>>, I wanted to share with The Look of Change with you, as seen on Tree the Tree - my favourite tree (on my path for my almost daily walks😁).
I could say that Change was sudden.
Or I could say this was expected.
Or I could simply watch it unfold and notice its effortlessness.
And the fact that Tree is not fighting it.
It goes with it.
It grows with it.
Every. Single. Season.
Most of us are going through accelerated change these days.
Reading Shawn Achor's book, 'The Happiness Advantage', I started to connect our perspective on Change with the Look of Change on Tree the Tree.
Here's why: 'It turns out our brains are literally hard wired to perform at their best not when they are negative or even neutral, but when they are positive.
Yet in today's world, we ironically sacrifice happiness for success only to lower our brains' success rates. Our hard-driving lives leave us feeling stressed, and we feel swamped by the mounting pressure to succeed at any cost.'
(Shawn Achor, 'The Happiness Advantage')
That's exactly why (business) success is All Personal - it's all connected to the brain, to how we define success for ourselves.
It's also connected to expectations, frustrations, worries of what may be.
I don't want to spoil a good read for you, so go ahead and read the book.
AND in the meantime, we might all reflect on this:
1. Do you think about happiness as something that comes only after you've accomplished big goals?
OR
2. Can you think about something that makes you feel happy now?
3. Or is it both?
In any case, I totally recommend the book. It will help you lead different.

Join me LIVE Today, 11 November, at 4pm ET
(STOP) Judging the Millennials - LIVE @4 pm ET, 11/11
<<First Name>>, Who are we underneath our labels?
How do we see others once we've removed labels?
Why do we need labels in the first place, what are they useful for?
Do they help? When?
Do they hurt? When?
When it comes to generations, we most often focus on the differences.
And then use that mostly to work against, rather than work 'with' those differences.
So in this episode of The ANC Show at Dreamaniac TV, Szebastian Onne G. S.and I will be looking at:
- how generations are different AND similar, especially in the workplace, and
- how that brings so much richness in both our work and home lives: diversity, innovation, creativity, learning on the go, kind leadership!
Millennial or not, join us at 4 pm ET today, and let's 'unstick' some labels together, so that we can start to Lead Different.
