Christmas Artwork Fundraiser
A big THANK YOU to all the parents who have supported this year's Christmas Art fundraiser. The creativeness and designs produced have been amazing. Here are just a few of the design which are now being printing on Christmas Cards, Tags, Wrapping Paper, and Mugs. Well done to everyone for your support.

Driving License
Members of the Year 6 Sewing club have been put through their driving license this week. Pupils demonstrated they could safely, and in a controlled manner use the sewing machines. Over the coming weeks the pupils will then learn how to thread a bobbin and sewing machine needle so they can produce their first article.

Gold Book
Well done to pupils in Lower Primary and Foundation Stages who were presented with their Gold Award certificates and gold pencils.

Dyslexia Screening
This week we commenced our Dyslexia screening process. The process helps our SENDco provided tailored specialised support for the pupils along with intervention measures for staff to use within the classroom environment.

Living Organisms
Year 4 pupils spent some time looking for organisms living in different parts of the garden habitat. Mindful of not touching or disturbing wildlife, on this day they found spiders and ants but not much else!!!

Name Day
On Tuesday Mike and Angelos celebrated their name day. They brought traditional Greek goodies to share and celebrate with their friends at school.
Greek Name Days are an indispensable part of the Greek tradition. According to the Greek Orthodox Calendar, each day of the year is dedicated to the memory of a saint or martyr; usually more than one on the same day. Each saint has his special feast day; on that day Greeks also celebrate their name days, which is the feast day of the saint after which they are named.

Number Facts
Foundation Stage 2 have been exploring number facts to 5 and to 6. The pupils explored many ways to partition these numbers: using numicon sets, cubes, beads, chain links and model toys. We extended our learning to an arts and crafts activity and a food related one. The pupils placed a combination of raisins and chopped apricots on to a biscuit to total 6……..then they ate it! Mmm delicious!

Faith Diary
This Sunday’s gospel passage looks towards the second coming of Christ, and is full of the apocalyptic language that is often found in the gospels when they are speaking about the end of time. In this passage, Jesus is not trying to frighten his listeners. He is warning them not be distracted by life’s inevitable hardships and urging them to persevere in their faith, for then no lasting harm will come to them. It is inevitable, as we approach the end of another liturgical year, that we think about the passage of time and what the future holds for each of us. For some it may be full of promise, for others it may appear bleak indeed. However, as Christians our view of the future is not one of either naive optimism nor of a dark fatalism. We may not know what the coming years hold for any of us, but whatever befalls us, we can confide in Christ’s promise that, if we keep our faith in him, ‘not a hair of our head will be lost.’

We Remember
The pupils in Nursery 2 have been busy creating a beautiful poppy display in honour of Remembrance Day. This time, the children used their handprints to create the poppy!

Matching Colours
This activity is loved by all the pupils. The pupils take turns to roll the dice and then match the colour. This activity develops communication, thinking and fine motor control skills
