"Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work.  And live peacefully with each other. Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy.  Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."

1 Thessalonians 5:12-18
What a week!  I prayed a prayer a long time ago for God to teach me to love the unlovable. I think He liked that prayer. Since then, He has brought many people into our lives that have tested us to the core. They have taught us to act toward and not react. He has taught us to never stop praying. I pray often for God to show me what He sees when He looks at the person. He never lets me down. I am embarrassed to say how many times I fall short, but He reminds me of that prayer, and I repent and start again.

Lord, help us with the difficult people in our lives. Help us to be grateful for the ones you bring us. Help us to see them like You do and help us to show them what You are like. Help them to feel Your love and let them know there is always a place for them in your family. In addition, Lord, we ask that you bless those you put in leadership at Faith and help us to be a blessing to them. In Jesus name, Amen.
We want you to know that you are an important part of the Faith Family! As grandparents, you act as a source of encouragement, support, wisdom, and unconditional love for our students. It is our desire to encourage you and connect with you further through this prayer ministry. These weekly emails will be written by a couple who have been faithful members of this school for decades, Jim and Sue Venters. We hope that through this brief devotional and shared prayers, the grandparents of FCS students will form a community in Christ, joining together in the shepherding of our beloved children and grandchildren.
