Tactical Pistol Match at GMSA
VETERANS DAY SPECIAL

 

IN HONOR OF OUR VETERANS IN THE SHOOTING SPORTS, WE ARE PROUD TO HOST A SPECIAL MATCH IN THEIR HONOR!
 
THIS MONTH'S TAC PISTOL MATCH WILL BE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, (non-veterans are also welcome), BUT WE WILL BE HONORING OUR VETERANS WITH A SPECIAL MATCH.
  • ALL VETERANS SHOOT FREE! THIS INCLUDES VETERANS FROM ANY ALLIED NATION!
  • VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR A PART OF THEIR MILITARY GEAR OR UNIFORM
  • THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL SIDE MATCH ON THE RIFLE RANGE FOR "THE WAR BABY", UNITED STATES CARBINE, CALIBER .30, M1.  aka THE M1 CARBINE

  • Practiscore registration for this match will close FRIDAY NIGHT (11/18/2022) at 2330 hours. After you pre-register, please don't forget to scroll down to the match page and squad yourself. 
     
  • Because there are other disciplines using the range on Saturday, we ask that all shooters park in the center parking area between the roads. 
  • Unless you are a club officer
    please DO NOT park in front of the rifle shelters 
    please DO NOT park in front of the restrooms
    please DO NOT park alongside the concrete roadway

Match Pre-Registration online at  PractiScore.  

  • 36 primary SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE with 12 additional if needed 
    This match is OPEN to the Public you do not have to be a GMSA member to shoot however the match is capped at 48 shooters including Safety Officers.

    NOTE: In each squad, there must be at least two people that are able, willing and qualified to serve as SO and scorekeeper.

  • Shooters please arrive no later than 8:45 am and go directly to your squad/bay number. 

     

    PRE-ASSIGNED SQUAD NUMBER / BAY NUMBER (see below).
    Squad 1 - Report to Bay 1
    Squad 2 - Report to Bay 2
    Squad 3 - Report to Bay 3

    Squad 4 - Report to Bay XX - reserved until first three squads are full 

    Safety meeting & SO walk through will be held at 9am sharp on the concrete roadway.  If you miss the Safety Meeting - you CAN NOT shoot the match!

    Round Count: about 75-100rds highly suggested to bring extra.  (NOTE: 4 STAGES /// WITH PCC shooting alongside pistols\\\) individual mileage may vary

    NOTE:  
    If you want to shoot PCC and PISTOL, TWO match fee's (one per gun) will apply. Shooters shooting two guns will not run the course of fire back to back.  
    Once squadded up,  we will group PCC shooters together and PISTOL shooters together.  


    The M1 Carbine is NOT a PCC and cannot be used in the PCC category for our standard stages.  The M1 Carbine side-match is the only stages where you can shoot the M1 Carbine.

    Round Count for M1 Carbine side match: about 25-50 rds are suggested but it wouldn't hurt to bring extra.

    Match Fee: $15 for most, GMSA Members $10 (show gate key)
    All Veterans: FREE (just select that you have a shoot free card on registration)
    Set up crew: FREE
    Junior shooters (18 & younger): FREE
    GMSA Members may either shoot the match for (one) free match fee, or book actual time spent towards the GMSA range work requirement - one or the other but NOT both...

PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE FOR YOUR SHOOT FEES!
Match fees will be collected by each squad's Safety Officer.  The Safety Officer IS NOT responsible for making change.  Seriously, please bring exact change for your shoot fee(s).  If you show up with a $100 bill, please be prepared to either donate $85-$95 to the club, or not shoot because you did not have exact change.  NO EXCUSES, NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE!


SAFETY OFFICERS - NO SPECIAL MONEY HANDLING PROCEDURES ARE NECESSARY...PLEASE JUST USE REASONABLE JUDGEMENT AND SIMPLY HAND MATCH FEE MONIES TO A GMSA OFFICER AS IT IS CONVENIENT AND SAFE.  IE: AS YOU'RE  PASSING EACH OTHER UP/DOWN THE ROAD.
