GOD CALLED OUR FAMILY TO MISSIONS

According to the testimony of Joseph Sheremet, who is in charge of the Missions ministry at Grace Family Church, God is calling their family to move to Poland for a long-term service among the Ukrainian refugees and the local Polish population. Prior to this, he was there with his wife and daughter on a short-term mission trip and saw the great need for dedicated ministers who are able to bring the Gospel to the people and help them in their spiritual concerns. He shares more about this in a radio broadcast, which can be accessed here. And in a booklet you may read to find out how to join them in their ministry and help them in carrying out this difficult project.

NEW MINISTERS AT THE WORD OF TRUTH CHURCH

On November 13, four brothers were ordained as deacons at The Word of Truth Church located in Des Moines, WA. In the 11-year history of the church, this was the first ordination of deacons. Previously, they had ordained pastors but not deacons. What were the circumstances for deciding to ordain deacons? See an explanation by P. Lyvutin, who talked about this during their church service. For additional information, read an article on the Association’s website (in Russian only.)

“MANY HAD ONE HEART…”

Second Slavic Baptist Church had an interesting time of fellowship on October 30. Telling new people about Jesus, helping Sacramento immigrants to adapt to a new place, and inviting them to the local church - these were the main goals of the event. Brothers and sisters organized the whole affair on the church parking lot, which included at least twenty stations with different activities: sports, crafts, health, table games, and puzzles. There was also a lot of Christian music and the preaching of the Word of God, as well as spiritual literature and resources for these refugees. For more details about this evening, read an article by O. Kopchuk – click this link (in Russian only.)

The fellowship was very relaxed

THE ESSENCE OF WORSHIP

The youth worshipped Him through Scriptures and singing which testified of the truth of Christ. Bands from three churches performed at this event: Evangelical Baptist Church of Kent (EBCK), Spring of Life (SOL), and GNC, Tacoma. For more information, read an article by T. Petrov, the youth leader of “The Good News Church” (in Russian only.)

TRICK OR TRUTH

On October 29, over two hundred people visited the Fall Festival hosted by The Cornerstone Church in Sacramento. The goal of the festival was to attract new immigrants to the church, and to share with them about the miracle of God’s creation, contrasting the lies which are still taught to our children and adults in modern society. The main event of the festival was the “Trick or Truth”, during which children and adults engaged in difficult challenges and solved historical and mathematical problems in order to get to the main Bible station and get the answer to  the question, “Where did I come from?”K. Kostyuk shares about this more in the article which can be located on the Association’s website (in Russian only.)

Prayer for peace in Ukraine

WHEN LIFE SEEMS DISCONNECTED FROM FAITH

“I am reading the Bible every day. It’s where I’m turning. But when I come across promises of His presence and His peace, it’s so frustrating. That’s not my experience at all—just the opposite. God seems silent. Why don’t His promises touch down in the places I really need them to?” – This is what one Christian shared in a consultation with Loren Whiteman, member of CCEF (Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation).

This is the experience of many Christians, and it is an important question for many. Read an answer by Lauren Whiteman on the CCEF website.
