GREETINGS FROM PAKISTAN!
Since April 2022, Pakistan has witnessed a lot of turmoil, unrest and drama, due to a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister Imran Khan that led to his removal. The country is going through a lot of political turbulence and uncertainty. Pakistan is facing numerous challenges along with terrorism threats. The ailing economy is the biggest issue. The gap between the poor and the rich is increasing day by day. And this is not the only crisis Pakistan is going through. Major flooding effected many areas that still need attention. With this, Pakistan is facing a huge challenge of 22.8 million children out of school. Secondly, the population time-bomb is ticking with an annual 2% growth rate. People under the age of 30 comprises 64% of the population. They need approximately over a million jobs annually. Unfortunately, the frustrated youth are jobless and becoming a burden to the nation. The government is also unable to provide quality education to the nation. The focus on skilled education is a dire need.
In order to bring hope to the hopeless and poverty stricken youth, serious reforms are required. Unfortunately with the political instability and polarization the need of the day is for political leaders to help foster an enabling climate. The unstable environment is increasing the financial burden on the country. We at PEB are determined to do what we can to help grow quality education and provide resources for those in need. Please join together with us in our mission and for praying for our country.
Many blessings,
Veda Gill
