High School Activities Report

Activities Director Jill Johnson delivered a report that included information regarding fall athletics, fine arts programs, and the new Activities Department website. Highlights from the report included the following:

• The girls' cross country team winning the Metro West Conference Championship and junior Madeline Lage placing 8th at the Class AAA State Meet. 
• The girls' swimming and diving team qualifying 10 entrants in eight events to the State Meet.
• Record crowds and recognition from Hennepin Theatre Trust for the High School's Fall Musical Mamma Mia!
• Recognition of High School Science Teacher Mel Berg, who announced his 200th Wildcat soccer game this Fall. 
• An overview of the new Activities website, www.waconiaactivities.org.

Looking Ahead 

At the December 12 Work Session, auditors from Clifton Larson Allen will present the District's annual financial audit for the 2021-22 fiscal year.
