Hello Diabetes Council Members,

The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors’ (NACDD) Diabetes Council Mentoring Workgroup invites you to join an upcoming virtual Workplan Clinic. This two-hour, hands-on-learning clinic is designed to stimulate deep thinking about the upcoming Diabetes Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). You and a group of your peers from other states will:

Gain skills to help you think through the accomplishments of the past 5 years, how to share and highlight them
Determine who are potential partners for priority groups
Discuss the value of aligning your workplan and budget
Acquire tips to fix common grammar and style mistakes

Attendance Criteria

The clinic will be offered twice and each session will offer an identical format featuring breakout discussions. There are limited spots available in each session. Priority will be given to allow at least one diabetes staff member from each State Health Department. A waitlist will be maintained in case registrations aren't received from each State Health Department. If you are placed on the waitlist, we will let you know as soon as seats become available.

A participant list will be distributed so you can call on colleagues for inspiration as you put together your Diabetes NOFO Responses.

About the Clinic

When you register, you will receive a NOFO Planning Tool that was developed by the Diabetes Council Leadership Group. You should plan to review the tool prior to participation. The clinic will be interactive, so come prepared to share your ideas.
