ENROLLMENT PAPERWORK DUE BY JANUARY 15th
For 2022-2023 - All Re-Enrollments will be done online. Paper forms will no longer be mailed to families.
Instructions on how to use 4-H Online can be found HERE.
A signed Consent Packet must be completed for each enrolled youth. These forms can be filled out online and uploaded into 4-H Online during the enrollment process or mailed to/dropped off at the 4-H Office.

Cayuga County 4-H Youth are expected to participate in fundraising programs to offset the costs of events and activities. Families can opt-out of participating in these events by submitting a donation of $30.00/enrolled youth at the time of enrollment.
Your 4-H enrollment is not complete until our office receives your enrollment fees. Payments can be made:
Checks should be made out to CCE Cayuga and description should be “4-H enrollment for _______ family.”
NYS 4-H Educational Horse Prep Sessions
I wanted to share the NYS 4-H Educational Horse Prep Sessions that the NYS Educational Coaches are offering this winter. Registration is required. Please join our NYS 4-H Horse coaches in their educational sessions to help prepare youth for educational events! Registration required by January 6th, 2023.
These sessions will be on Zoom with our NYS 4-H Educational Horse event coaches! You can pick what sessions you want to attend, or you can attend all of them, which we suggest! Registration is required by January 6th and the Zoom link will be the same link used for each session.
January 9th at 6 pm: Horse Bowl
January 16th at 9 am: What is Horse Communications?
January 16th at 2 pm: Tips for Advancing Your Horse Communications Speech (featuring a panelist of state presentation judges)
January 30th at 7 pm: Hippology
February 1st at 7 pm: Hippology sessions number 2
February 8th at 7 pm: Horse Judging oral reasons
February 15th at 7 pm: Horse Judging Conformation
February 22nd at 7 pm: Horse Judging Performance
2023 Advanced Equine Program Applications Open
The NYS 4-H Horse Advanced Equine Program was developed to create a bridge between the 4-H youth with equine interest and the Equine Industries in New York State. Participants will be expected to join monthly zoom meetings to meet with equine professionals on certain topics, work independently on monthly projects, participate in the NYS 4-H Horse In-service, complete an interview with an equine professional, and attend an end-of-the-year trip.
Yearly Learning Objectives
Participants will work as a group or individually to complete a portfolio of 6 educational assignments that includes a variety of learning goals in areas such as: STEM Education, writing, and leadership development.
Participants with exhibit independent learning by sourcing, contacting, and arranging a interview with an individual in the equine industry (with the help of the NYS 4-H Equine Youth Specialist and other educators).
Participants will be prepared with skills needed to succeed in online or virtual learning such a video call edict, and understanding learning styles.
Participants will attend a year-end, overnight trip that will focus on connecting youth to various aspect to equine industries to better understand the opportunities available for education and occupations.
Participant Expectations
Participants must be 14 years old (4-H age: Age as of January 1st).
Must be enrolled in the NYS 4-H Program.
Must have a desire to learn about Equine Science and Equine Industries.
Must complete and submit an application via email by December 23, 2022.
Must attend winter team building in Ithaca, NY (or participate as a volunteer at another State level competition).
Must complete all 5 assignments given after each virtual meeting.
