FIFA World Cup

Qatar, 20 November - 18 December
 
The FIFA World Cup continues in Qatar with the final matches of the group stages taking place until Friday 2nd December. The knockout stage starts on 3rd December, concluding with the final taking place in the Lusail Stadium on 18th December.
Pakistan v England Test Series

Pakistan, 1-21 December
 
England travel to Pakistan for their first Test series there since 2005. Following Test matches against the West Indies, December will also see Australia host South Africa in a three-match series from 17th December to 8th January.
UCI Track Champions League

London, 2-3 December
 
Lee Valley VeloPark will host Rounds 4 and 5 of the UCI Track Champions League. Endurance riders will race in both Elimination and Scratch events, with Sprint riders racing in both Sprint and Keirin events.
Tyson Fury v Derek Chisora

London, 3 December
 
Two Heavyweight British fighters, Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora, will meet for the third time. Fury has not yet been beaten by Chisora and will want to keep his record intact, and defend his WBC Heavyweight Title. The following week on 10th December, Terence Crawford will defend his WBO Welterweight Title against David Avanesyan in Omaha, USA.
Georgia Bulldogs v LSU Tigers

Atlanta, 3 December
 
December sees a range of Championship Games in NCAA College Football with the Georgia Bulldogs playing the LSU Tigers for the SEC Championship. Two other games of note include the TCU Horned Frogs facing the Kansas State Wildcats in Arlington for the Big 12 Championship, and the Southern California Trojans against the Utah Utes in Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Championship.
Cincinnati Bengals v Kansas City Chiefs

Cincinnati, 4 December
 
The NFL continues to provide gripping entertainment and December looks to be no different. The Cincinnati Bengals will be looking for their fourth win in a row when they welcome the current Super Bowl favourites, the Kansas City Chiefs. Elsewhere, throughout December and across the country, the Miami Dolphins face the Buffalo Bills, the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks take on the San Francisco 49ers.
FC Bayern München Women v Barcelona Femení

Munich, 7 December
 
The UEFA Women's Champions League sees Bayern  playing for redemption after their 3-0 loss to Barcelona in November. Also in early December, Arsenal Women will host Juventus Femminile after their 1-1 draw and Chelsea Women travel to Madrid to try and replicate their 2-0 victory against Real Madrid Femenino.
Start of European Rugby Champions Cup

Europe & South Africa, 9 December
 
The annual rugby union tournament returns with teams from the English Premiership, the United Rugby Championship and the French Top 14 all competing for glory. Top games to look out for include Racing 92 versus Leinster Rugby, Stade Toulousain against Munster Rugby, Exeter Chiefs taking on the Bulls and Ulster Rugby facing the defending champions, La Rochelle.
UFC 282: Błachowicz v Ankalaev

Las Vegas, 11 December
 
For the main event at UFC 282, the Light Heavyweight Championship is on the line in a bout between Jan Błachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev. 
World Swimming Championships (25m)

Melbourne, 13-18 December
 
Australia are proud to be hosting the 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) for the first time. The Short Course Worlds - as this event is sometimes known - takes place at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Big Bash League

Australia, 13 December - 4 February
 
The Big Bash League is back for the 12th season. After a gripping Women's Big Bash League concluded with the Adelaide Strikers coming out victorious; it's now the Men's turn. 
PDC World Darts Championships

London, 15 December - 3 January
 
Alexandra Palace is ready to host the 2023 edition of the ever popular Cazoo World Darts Championships. Peter "Snakebite" Wright of Scotland, is the defending champion after his 7-5 victory in the final of the 2022 event.
Boston Celtics v Milwaukee Bucks

Boston, 25 December
 
Christmas Day viewers will be treated to the highly anticipated clash between the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks, also the Golden State Warriors face the Memphis Grizzlies in another exciting Christmas Day clash. Elsewhere in December, the NBA provides a range of entertaining games including the Celtics trip to Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns and the Bucks hosting the Warriors.
Brentford v Tottenham Hotspur

Brentford, 26 December
 
After the FIFA World Cup draws to a close, English Premier League fans will be delighted to have their teams back in their stadiums and on their screens. On Boxing Day, Brentford host Tottenham Hotspur and just before Christmas, Manchester City and Liverpool go head to head for the Caraboa Cup.
United Cup Tennis

Australia, 29 December - 8 January
 
The end of December sees the first edition of the United Cup take place across Brisbane, Perth and Sydney. 18 countries are confirmed to take part in the mixed teams event, with the semifinals and final taking place in Sydney between the 6th and 8th January.
