It's cold but we aren't hibernating
Just like our soil, we stay active in the winter, scheming for the spring. We have some fun December events coming up to keep you in a planning frame of mind. Come out and have some fun with your neighbors!
AGA Happy Hour at Firefly Fiber Arts Studio
Thursday, December 1 from 5-7pm
AGA is having its own little housewarming for our new neighbors at Firefly! As purveyors of natural fiber yarn, Firefly is an exciting addition to our Avondale urban agriculture family. Feel free to bring snacks or beverages- or just bring yourself. Warning: Light crafting likely! RSVP on Facebook for updates.
AGA Winter Sowing/Booze and Bake
Sunday, December 11 from 12-3pm
NOW is the time to get your native plants seeded! Come to this workshop to learn how to sow natives the EASY way. All materials will be provided. Homemade snacks/beverages very welcome but no need to bring anything but you. This is a serious money saver and a great way to support native plants and their pollinator friends. RSVP on Facebook for location details and updates.
AGA Happy Hour at Avondale Bowl
Wednesday, December 28 from 5-7pm
Escape the holidays with this AGA happy hour at Avondale Bowl. There will be frozen white russians on special to fuel your Big Lebowski day dreams. We will have a lane available but feel free to hang out in the cozy bar. We will have some hot seed catalog action to share. RSVP on Facebook for updates.
ALSO!
Don’t miss out on lending your voice to the Avondale CMAP neighborhood plan! Join your neighbors at Guild Row on Saturday, December 10 from 10-1:30pm to talk about how to make Avondale even more awesome in the years to come. Let’s get some sustainable-minded gardeners weighing in on how to improve our community!
