NOVEMBER 2022

From the Leadership Team

Tis the season for thanks and giving. In the spirit of giving, this year we are holding a sock drive in conjunction with the GIM Holiday Open House. If it suits you, please bring a pair of new socks with you. If you cannot come, feel free to send a pair of socks with a colleague! The socks will be donated to a local organization. Hopefully, together, we can help others have a warmer holiday season.

Monthly updates on Primary Care Clinical Activities

I want to take time this month to share one of the most gratifying experiences I have had working at the University of Colorado. Earlier this month I attended the Department of Medicine's Annual Faculty and Staff Recognition Event. This was a terrific event recognizing some of the best and brightest faculty and staff across the Department. When the event concluded I noted I was the only person at the event fortunate enough to sit between two faculty members who had been recognized. Dr. Matt DeCamp and Dr. Amy Huebschmann were both recognized for their exceptional work and more importantly their positive impact on our Department and Campus.

The second month of the pilot projects is almost complete. Data collection is in full swing and work has begun planning for the transition period and Phase 2. The transition period will include January and February while we conduct the follow-up clinician satisfaction survey, analyze the quantitative data, and select the pilots to move on to Phase 2. During the transition period, current pilot participants have the option to continue on their pilot template or revert to the standard template. The goal is to start Phase 2 in March. We will start recruiting additional participants for Phase 2 soon.
