Dear friends,

We are arriving at the end of the year 2022. The Meeting for Minds team has been working very hard all year and preparing for an exciting 2023 for us all. There will be virtual Cafe Scientifique (online science happenings),  in the spring and the fall. The forum "World in a Brainstorm" will take place on May 12-14 in Fremantle Western Australia and on line, as well as the ongoing SYNERGIES projects in Australia and Switzerland. None of this would be possible without your support. Today, there is a growing demand for non-profits to be sustainable, but I can't help but think that there is also beauty in helping each other. The act of giving is powerful and empowering, especially in a world where almost everything is monetised. We seek to be as self-sustaining as possible through partnerships, but we hope you feel that your support is of the greatest value to us and even to you, you are part of something very important. Join us if you want to play a role in changing the way we see people with experience of mental illness, brain and behavioral science, and community empowerment. There is much to do and it affects all of our lives. Thank you for supporting us!

Warmest regards
Maria

UPCOMING EVENTS
2023 World in a Brainstorm Forum

Join us to put the World in a Brainstorm as world class researchers, people with lived experience of mental illness and the broader community meet to collectively inspire curiosity and innovative research around the brain to advance the future state of mental illness in our communities.

To be held 12-14 May 2023 on location in Fremantle, Western Australia and virtually which will include live streaming of the main programme and additional access to a complementary virtual only programme.

This is a unique opportunity for researchers to harness the PLEX (People with Lived Experience of mental illness) knowledge and experience as partners. It offers the chance for those with lived experience to contribute to scientific study as a collaborator instead of a patient or statistic. For the curious community, the knowledge and empathy to drive change.
Get Involved
We invite you to join our alliance of hope by taking a virtual booth at World in a Brainstorm to share how you're exploring and transforming the way mental illness impacts your community.

For $1,500 you'll be promoted alongside likeminded, prestigious research and innovative partners on our platform before, during and for six months after the Forum, as we settle the storm of ideas to change.

You will also have the opportunity to give a live or recorded 30 minute presentation on your chosen work to contribute to the conference theme which will feature as part of the Forum's Virtual Brainstorm Programme and be available to all delegates throughout the event.
