November 2022 Update

Welcome to the Loved & Shared Newsletter. It has been another busy month for us, read on to learn what we have been up to...

We work in partnership with our community to gift and rehome high-quality donated nursery and children's goods, ensuring all families have access to essential resources needed to raise thriving children, while reducing the amount of goods sent to landfill in our region.

We are ready for Volunteers!

Volunteers are the beating heart and driving force of our organisation. If you're looking for a meaningful opportunity to contribute to your community, we want to hear from you! Click here to register your interest to volunteer.
Our caring and sharing community
A big thank you to Amy from Port Fairy, and Milly and Winnie from Warrnambool for being our first public goods donors! While our new website is being built, we are accepting goods donations by direct booking. If you'd like to share your high-quality preloved nursery and children's goods with other families in our community,
contact us to book a drop off session

Partner with us to distribute gifts to families
We'd like to learn how we can work together with social support organisations, agencies and maternal and child health services to distribute gifts to families and children requiring our service. Contact us to book a warehouse tour! Thank you to Renae and Mary from The Foyer for visiting our warehouse and providing your valuable feedback, helping us to design a service that meets the needs of our region!
Get involved!
Calling all community groups and clubs! We want to meet your members and learn how you'd like to get involved, drop us a line. Thank you to CWA Night Owls and Southwest Victorian Pride for visiting our warehouse in November!
Thank you to our supporters
Thank you to our friends Trephy and Amanda from Warrnambool & District FoodShare for sourcing and supplying our recycled cardboard boxes, helping us to store all of our donated goods sustainably! Thank you to Rimaya from Caroline Chisholm Society for supplying us with 100kg of donated children's clothing!
If you have any queries regarding any of the newsletter items above or anything else at all, please email us at info@lovedandshared.org.au

Our Regional Need

20% of the population aged 0-8 in the region are considered vulnerable on 1 or more of the 5 critical childhood development criteria, this is significantly higher than the state average.

We aim to save 3+ tonnes of good quality items going to landfill every year.

Local data from four LGAs (Warrnambool, Moyne, Southern Grampians & Corangamite), confirm that 1 in 5 children live in poverty.

Loved & Shared is a community project initiated by Leadership Great South Coast 2020 Program Participants.

Please forward this on to anyone who might be interested, to help us build awareness.
