Sunshine Coast Computer Kindness

The SC Computer Kindness Society is need of space to store their refurbished computers (desktops, laptops, monitors, key boards) that are free to non-profits, start-up businesses, home based businesses, entrepreneurships with limited means and in need of digital electronic support.  Check out www.computerkindness.ca for application form and details.

Required is an area of about 100 square feet to accommodate racking and ease of access.  If your business has extra space or knows of space please contact Administrator at 604 649-0641
Keep It Coastal: Holiday Campaign Launch

The Sunshine Coast Business Recovery Centre(SCBRC) has recently launched their 2nd annual Keep it Coastal holiday campaign!

This year’s campaign aims to educate consumers on the benefits of choosing to buy local, to celebrate coastal businesses and to promote community love here on the Sunshine Coast.

Local Businesses can participate by using supplied campaign materials to encourage your customers to #KeepitCoastal and Support Small Business on the Sunshine Coast this holiday season.

Download materials from their Digital Marketing Kit to use on your social media, or shoot a message to smallbiz@scredo.ca and they will arrange to get you one of our print collateral kits to use in your local store.

As a Front Desk Associate you are responsible for providing our guests with the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner while assisting them with the check-in and check-out process and assisting with travel and/or activity arrangements. This position focuses on creating a memorable guest experience and exceeding guest expectations. Full-time, $18 per hour.

Destination Development Fund

The Province is launching a $30 million fund to build a strong and globally competitive tourism sector that fosters vibrant communities across BC.

The BC Destination Development Fund aims to invest in projects that:
  • Foster distinct and globally competitive destinations
  • Strengthen a year-round visitor economy
  • Increase community vibrancy and resident support for tourism
  • Support sustainability, accessibility and inclusion
The fund will award grants across two streams.
  • STREAM 1: ACTIVATE; funds up to $1,000,000 per project
  • STREAM 2: ELEVATE; funds up to $500,000 per project. Apply for this stream if your project will improve destination competitiveness
