Happy Friday dear friends and welcome to our last monthly newsletter issue of 2022!
It is starting to become a tradition: our last newsletter of the year marks the end of another 12 months for the podcast. This time, however, we are in the middle of our fourth season. So, we thought we would bring you a special episode putting our host, Claire, in the hot seat for you to learn more about her own journey plus why she started Narratives of Purpose.
Also in this issue, we introduce a couple of new studio recording partners, and share news from the Fructify Network which has been collaborating with us for over a year. Finally, a few events for this weekend and beyond, to attend either in-person or virtually. Thank you for being part of the Narratives of Purpose community. We appreciate all your support.
OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY
Our podcast launched on December 2, 2020. Since then, we have hosted 43 guests from 23 cities across 4 continents, who shared their fascinating stories of impact.
To mark this second anniversary, Lucy Antrobus (left on the picture), founder of the NGO Refugee Voices and co-founder of the Edtech platform Aequaland and also our former guest in season one, interviewed our host (right) to find out more on her personal journey, her motivation to create Narratives of Purpose, some behind the scenes moments on recording the show, as well as her most valuable learning working on the podcast.
This special episode will be released in two parts on December 6th and 13th. Be sure to tune in directly on our website or from any podcast listening app (just click the button below to get notified) !
We had the privilege to record our two-year anniversary episode on The Boat Pod in the heart of Little Venice, London (UK). The Boat Pod is a floating DJ and podcast studio operated by Sophie Callis, a DJ herself and entrepreneur.
This place shines a light on grassroots music, art and culture, to bring communities together and build relationships with likeminded businesses, brands and individuals worldwide.
We also had the opportunity to record some upcoming interviews at The Spot Geneva. This hybrid cultural space is both a pop-up gallery and a podcast factory, created in partnership with the city of Geneva.
Their flagship show is Afro Stories, a podcast giving a voice to Afro-descendent people from various walks of life living in the French speaking part of Switzerland.
Fructify Network's Knowledge Hub on Sustainability is coming soon!
Its aim is to support SMEs and start-ups to walk the talk of sustainability by providing access to knowledge beyond specialised departments of corporations and academia.
The hub will address the main pain points of business owners, entrepreneurs, and sustainability pivoters through tools and actionable steps adapted to business leaders.

If you are out and about in Zurich this weekend (25 - 27 November), don't miss the Films For Future Festival finale. Our host is one the moderators at this event for a couple of documentary premiere screenings.
This Festival on environmental and future issues offers the audience gripping films for a better future, each followed by panel discussions with committed film makers, activists, and experts.
The last three days will screen 10 films on various topics ranging from climate and energy to biodiversity and ecosystems to economy and consumerism.
On Saturday November 26th, the start-up we showcased in our latest episode this November, Miyara, will host an online panel discussion to clarify myths about the often unspoken life stage of perimenopause.
Join the conversation if you want to learn how women should recognise perimenopause, what they should do to manage their symptoms, or what they can do prior to make the transition easier, both from a medical as well as a lifestyle modifications perspective.
Also from our first guest in November, Bart De Witte, this free online summit dedicated to open health data and artificial intelligence will take place on December 1st and 2nd.
If you want to hear from keynote speakers, a patient, a professor of anthropology, and a professor of political philosophy discuss about the newly proposed EU laws as well as the European Health Data Space that will significantly impact the future of healthcare systems, then make sure you join.
Tune in on Tuesday, December 6th for the first part of our special 2-year anniversary episode "Get To Know Our Host".
Please leave us a 5 star rating on Spotify or a review on Apple Podcasts, we'll greatly appreciate your support.
