The Connecticut General Assembly will convene today for a special session for a limited list of action items: extending the tax break on gasoline, boosting funds for an energy assistance program and essential worker bonuses, and to delay changes to the state's bottle bill. Read it here!

TODAY AT THE STATE CAPITOL
SPEAKER/MAJORITY LEADER will hold a pre-session avail at 11:30 a.m. in the Speaker's Capitol office.
CANDELORA/KELLY will hold a pre-session avail outside the House chamber at noon.
SESSION will start at noon.
OFF-SITE
BLUMENTHAL will hold two events:
- 9:30 a.m. at the National Veterans Council for Legal Redress, Dixwell Community House, 197 Dixwell Ave., New Haven
- 11:30 a.m. at 266 Pearl St., Hartford where he will join local firefighters to call on Congress to reauthorize the firefighter cancer registry
