The Griffith Tourism Team have been getting a lot of enquiries regarding road conditions in and around the area, with understandable frustrations from travellers because of poor road conditions. Due to all this rain and unpredictable weather, unfortunately a lot of the roads have been damaged and road closures are happening more frequently. We remind visitors to slow down on rural and regional roads and take extra caution while travelling. For the latest information on road closures, please refer to Live Traffic.

LA SCALA
In 1977, Onorato and Lina Vico opened La Scala Restaurant in Griffith.   They were the first in this region to create an authentic italian dining experience. Everything was always made by hand and in house, specialising in pasta, pizza, gelato, coffee, as well as many other traditional meals. Generations later we still carry on the same traditions with a passion.

LITTLE ITALY
They say that Griffith is a little piece of Italy. So come on into Little Italy and experience the taste of authentic Italian cuisine. Our extensive menu offers fresh house made gnocchi and pastas, a range of traditional and gourmet pizzas to antipasti’s, healthy salads and delicious mains. Pair your meal with our riverine award- winning vino or smooth espresso coffee.

The Griffith Tourism Hub has everything you need - Visitor Servicing, Marketing and Events. It is a great first stop for any visitor to the region. Pop in for a chat with the friendly team who can provide you with local information, recommendations on things to see and do, as well as free city and regional maps. Call 1800 681 141 or email visitgriffith@griffith.com.au for more information.
