Toronto has never been wealthier, yet at the same time, it has never been more unaffordable. This is most evident in the rising cost of housing. We as York University students must mobilize for housing justice both within and beyond our campus!

Join OPIRG York's new Action Group - we'll be crowd-sourcing names - and help us build a strong and united campaign for housing justice
alongside our community partners and allied campus groups.

At this first meeting, we will form our new collective and set our campaign goals and strategy for the next year.

Call To Action!

It's expensive to be a student. We don't think living close to school should cost you an arm and a leg on top of the limbs you already have to sacrifice for textbooks and tuition.

Affordable housing is essential to York students, who need stability, safety, and community in order to truly excel in their academic careers.

The Affordable Housing Committee at York University is committed to working towards creating affordable, co-operative housing that fosters a sense of community in an ecologically sound way around Keele campus.
They can't achieve this without your support.

HOSPITAL EMERGENCY: Town Hall Meetings
Tuesday, November 29, 7 pm
Register here for Zoom link.

Join the Ontario Health Coalition for this townhall to fight for public healthcare! Our public hospitals are in an unprecedented crisis. The Ford government has funnelled millions into for-profit corporations to privatize our hospitals. Almost 100 Emergency Departments have had closures across Ontario.

All across Ontario people have banded together for a century or more to build up our local public hospitals. We must force the Ford government to address the crisis and take urgent action to support our local PUBLIC hospitals.
