Here are this week's events:

 
The Holy Nativity Fast, which began on Monday, Nov 28. Rules of the Fast: FISH may be consumed on all Saturdays and Sundays of the Fast, as well as on December 22, the Feast of the Conception of the Most-holy Theotokos  by St Anna.   WINE and OIL may be consumed on all Tuesdays and Thursdays of the Fast. On all the remaining days of the Fast, we abstain from fish, wine and oil. On the Feast of the Nativity of Christ there is no fasting, regardless of the day of the week upon which it may fall.
 
PARISH LIFE for December is out. The electronic version was sent last Friday to our subscribers. Hardcopies are available at the candle stand.

Tuesday, November 28. Class on Orthodoxy with Metropolitan Jonah - ONLINE via zoom. The class will continue the series, "The Pastoral Epistles of St. Paul", this time beginning St. Paul's epistle to the Phillipans.  To join the Zoom class click:https://zoom.us/j/897899985

Wednesday, November 30. Moleben & Akathist before the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God.

Thursday, December 1. English Choir rehearsal – 7:00 PM.

Friday, December 2. Kursk Icon to be returned to Synod in NYC.

Friday, December 2.  Rehearsal of the “MatryoshkiDC” dance group - 6:45 PM.

Saturday, December 3. Vigil – 5:00 PM.

Sunday, December 4. 25th Sunday after Pentecost.  ENTRY OF THE MOST HOLY THEOTOKOS INTO THE TEMPLE.   English Hours and Liturgy – 7:40 AM; Slavonic Hours and Liturgy 10:10 AM.

Sunday, December 4.  Sunday School classes at the usual times.
