Celebrating One Year of Advocacy, Hope and Healing

In recognition of React19's one year anniversary, we wanted to share why we created a volunteer-run nonprofit organization of vaccine-injured people helping other vaccine-injured people.

React19 is serving a need that's completely unmet through governmental and patient advocacy. There's no organization fighting for us, no research for us, and no care for us. There's no one coming to save us. So we needed to do it ourselves.

We depend entirely on the generosity of independent donors. Please help us further these efforts by supporting us this coming year!

What will the next year bring? Building on our Care-Fund, we will launch a research fund for independent research into etiology and solutions for this new disease and expand patient and provider education.

What is the rate of adverse events? Is it "rare"?

According to a study on serious adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination, Dr. Joe Fraiman et al have recently indicated that the rate of adverse events could be as high as 1 in 800. Source: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36055877

The German Federal Ministry of Health reports 1 in 5000 Source: https://www.pei.de/SharedDocs/Downloads/EN/newsroom-en/dossiers/safety-reports/safety-report-27-de cember-2020-31-march-2022.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=8

The World Health Organization defines "uncommon" as 1-100 in 1000, and "rare" as 1 in 10,000

When asked by React19 if they could define “rare,” the U.S. Food and Drug Administration could not provide a straight answer.

It always seems “rare” until it happens to you, in which case you wish somebody would listen. But finding someone to help truly is “rare.”
To our supporters: THANK YOU for being there for us!
“I Woke Up With My Entire Face On Fire”
Claire, a 22-year-old yoga teacher, got her vaccine because she thought it was safe and effective for everyone and that she was doing the right thing for herself and for others. That didn't end up being the case. Listen to her heartbreaking testimony in front of the Orange County (Fla.) Board of County Commissioners

In the News:
FDA Urged to Publish Follow-up Studies on COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Signals
In July 2021 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration quietly disclosed findings of a potential increase in four types of serious adverse events in elderly people who had had Pfizer’s covid-19 vaccine: acute myocardial infarction, disseminated intravascular coagulation, immune thrombocytopenia, and pulmonary embolism.

Little detail was provided, such as the magnitude of the increased potential risk, and no press release or other alert was sent to doctors or the public. The FDA promised it would “share further updates and information with the public as they become available.” More than a year later, the agency has not published a press release, or notified doctors, or published the findings by preprint or the scientific literature or updated the vaccine’s product label.
