3. SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

William C. Berg Academic Excellence Scholarship
Five $1,500 scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing degrees in any field, provided by BASF Corporation and National Corn Growers Association. Apply by Tuesday, January 31.

Premier Select Sires
Each year, Premier Select Sires awards up to $20,000 to students within the Premier territory through the Premier Future Ag Leaders Scholarship Program. This program provides financial support to eligible college undergraduates in agricultural majors. Learn more about available scholarships and apply here. Applications are due by Tuesday, January 31.

Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Scholarships
The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is committed to investing in students pursuing careers in agriculture or a related field. For the 2023 year, GFA is offering $70,000 worth of scholarships. There are several scholarship opportunities across four categories available to students, each with varying criteria and eligibility requirements.  Learn more and find out how to apply here. Applications are due by March 1.

4. CAES CLUB & SOUTH CAMPUS CORNER

Interested in being a CAES Ambassador?
The 2022-2024 CAES Ambassador applications are now open! CAES Ambassadors have the opportunity to meet and network with college leaders, develop friendships, expand communication and leadership skills, meet with prospective students and network with alumni, all while representing CAES. Learn more about the CAES ambassador program and apply today! (*Be sure to attend 1 mandatory info session in order to be eligible to apply!) Applications are due Sunday, February 19.

Apply to be a chaperone for the Young Scholars Program!
The Young Scholars Program (YSP) is a six-week summer internship program for high school students interested in agricultural, food, and environmental sciences. The Office of Diversity Affairs is looking for collegiate chaperones for the summer! Click here to learn more and apply here by January 19.

PIC OF THE WEEK

This week's Pic of the Week features dairy science professor Dr. Jillian Bohlen in a cow costume! Students in the UGA Dairy Science Club hosted a "No Kid Hungry" Fundraiser raising $1,560.29 where students donated money to whichever professor they wanted to see teach class in a cow costume!
