This year, all donations benefit our crafting programs: Crafting & Community and Teen Crafting. Every week, we provide materials for knitting, crocheting, and other unique staff-guided crafts. Learn more and donate on our website.

Murray L. Bob Lecture
Thursday 12/1 | 6 pm - 8 pm
This Year's Murray Bob Lecture will be given by Field and Fork Network's Co-Founder and Executive Director, Lisa French. She will discuss food insecurity in New York State and the various solutions her organization and others are doing to address the issue.    Joining Lisa will be Jamestown Public Market Director Linnea Haskin, who will speak briefly on the impact Field and Fork programs, such as Double Up Food Bucks, have had on the Jamestown community. 

The event reception is sponsored by the Jamestown Public Market and the BioDome Project.

Reception to follow. There is no registration for this free event.

Festive Fun on 5th Street
Saturday 12/10 | 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

Gingerbread Workshop | 10:30am and 1:30pm *REGISTRATION REQUIRED*

Kids and teens are invited to build a candy and graham cracker creation at our Gingerbread Workshop program at the library! All supplies are provided for this free program. Two sessions will be held, 10:30-11:30 am and 1:30-2:30 pm.

Registration is required. To register, visit the library’s children’s desk or call us at (716) 484-7135 Ext. 234. One kit per registered child or teen will be provided at the event.

Holiday Open House at the Marvin House | 11:30 am-1:30 pm

Ribbons & Greens Crafting
Saturday 12/17 | 1 pm - 3 pm

*REGISTRATION REQUIRED* This program is for ages 18+

Select your materials and assemble a custom swag to decorate your door during winter! All materials are provided for this free program. This workshop has two sessions, 1:00-2:00 pm and 2:00-3:00 pm.

Registration is required due to limited supplies. To register, visit the library’s information desk or call us at (716) 484-7135 Ext. 226. 

Movie Nights at the Library
Select Fridays | 4:30pm

Movies are screened on Fridays at 4:30 pm. Movies for adults are screened on the first Friday of the month, teens on the second Friday, and kids/families on the third Friday.
