Staff Picks

Marietta's Pick

The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck

"One of my favorite, “feel good” Christmas stories is one I look forward to every year. Although I have read the book, I especially love the audio. This is a story about a young boy who wants a bicycle more than anything else for Christmas - a memory many of us can recall as we grew up. The hoping and longing for that one gift, the anticipation that although it probably would not be wrapped, it will suddenly appear in the
garage for us to find.
A personal, true story that makes one ponder on the true meaning of giving and an appreciation for those in our life."
Mickenzie's Pick

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane By Kate DiCamillo

Despite being a children's novel, every adult should give this book a read. This is my all time favorite book and the only book I have ever reread - 6 times to be exact! It is a tale of how one toy learns compassion from different people and how they live their lives.
