We love Small Business Saturday and Giving Tuesday! These back-to-back national movements bring more attention to indie businesses and nonprofits that work so hard to keep our communities strong.
We have an exciting perk for donors as well as
exciting projects for next year.
First, donors of $25 or more will get entered into random drawings on Wednesday for a sterling silver bracelet from Hugo Kohl (retail value $450) and gift certificates from El Paisano Bakery.
Second, here’s what’s up next for us:
- Designing and helping to fund a community park on the Church of Incarnation’s parking lot
- Working with our partners to help fund and install a new sculpture on the northside of downtown
- Launching a 10-week free live music concert series next summer
- Expanding Taste of Downtown restaurant month
- Publishing our annual dining and shopping guides
- Growing and supporting downtown businesses through another round of Bricks & Clicks direct assistance and grants
- Bringing back your favorite festivals
- Creating more Committee of Joy opportunities for volunteers with creative ideas for downtown
- Seeking protections for our historic buildings
- Launching a new program to make downtown more accessible
Your donations keep our nonprofit organization moving forward and help us support small businesses, build community through events and programming, beautify our downtown and keep our community thriving.
