Coming Up 12/31 Regular Deadline Global Engagement Summit
What: It is a track of crash courses in Social Entrepreneurship with hands-on incubator-style classes in partnership with tech companies, like Intel and NXP. During the semester, we run 12 fantastic labs with industry experts, professionals, faculty, and mentors that will advance your social or sustainable startup or community project. At the end of the courses, the final pitch presentations compete for eSeed grant Social Impact Challenge Funding from Tom Prescott Student Venture Fund.

Courses: 
TEM 450 Design for Developing World + TEM 498 Capstone Project
This course is focused on tangible products for social and sustainable needs. Ventures focus on B2C models, such as design for extreme affordability, prosthetics, personal mobility, child safety, and more. The students advance the work on their own venture, or students can work on a problem-solution challenge that a non-profit faces.
When + Where: Poly Campus, Fridays, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm.

TEM 598 Systemic Design and Social Innovation + TEM 494
It is focused on intangible products/services, informational and platform-based business models, and software-as-a-service (SaaS). It deals with social and sustainable complex and systemic issues. Ventures focus on B2B public/private models at the national and international levels, including complex stakeholder networks of policymakers, NGOs, and private enterprises. Discusses ethics of technology and human-technology interaction. The students advance the work on their ventures.
When + Where: Tempe @ Novus, Thursdays, 9:30 am -12:00 pm.

Apply to be a Delegate Candidate at the Global Engagement Summit


Who: All of ASU's Top Innovators and Entrepreneurs interested in social change.

What:  The Global Engagement Summit (GES), is an annual three-day student-run conference held at Northwestern University that brings together young entrepreneurs from around the world who are interested in social change. Through GES, students can share challenging ideas, explore the realms of social entrepreneurship and community development and equip themselves with the tools needed to take their social ventures beyond good intentions.

When:  Priority Application Deadline:11/30/2022
             Regular Application Deadline:12/31/2022
             Summit: 4/19-23/2023


Why: GES empowers young change-makers by providing training, facilitating mentorships, and connecting driven students with innovative thought leaders.

Hacking the Human: Innovative Approaches to Wellness


Who: All of ASU's Top Innovators and Entrepreneurs.

What: Join industry experts and community innovators at the Health Entrepreneurship Accelerator Lab (HEALab) as they discuss current and evolving solutions for improving societies wellness. A light lunch will be served. Space is limited so be sure to RSVP soon if interested.

ASU Venture Devils Demo Day:
Fall 2022


Who: All of ASU's Aspiring Innovators and Entrepreneurs.

What: Join us as we celebrate the innovative ventures developed by Ventures Devils as they compete for their share in a prize pool of nearly $ 200,000 in funding. These ventures will deliver investor-style pitches to show why they deserve their spot!

MSIVD Recruitment Info Session

Who: ASU's Continuing Top Innovators and Entrepreneurs.

What: You are invited to learn about the Master of Science in Innovation and Venture Development (MSIVD) at Arizona State University. It’s a unique partnership between the schools of engineering, business, and design — a one-year, STEM-designated, entrepreneurial program. In a series of studio courses, you’ll learn to lead cross-disciplinary teams in a world of growing uncertainty and ambiguity. All undergraduate degrees are welcome to apply.

When:  12/6/2022, 12-12:45 pm Arizona Time

The New Venture Challenge

 
Who: All ASU Students, Staff, & Faculty who are seeking Venture Capital Investment for a new business.

What: The New Venture Challenge is an 8-week Spring-semester course, taught by 8-time entrepreneur and current investor Scott Wald. The course helps students to think through their business from value proposition, to financial modeling, and investor ‘pitching’ – and the classes culminate in participants competing for an unfair share of $50,000 in available SAFE note investment. Please reach out to jsbyrne2@asu.edu for more information.

When: Applications for access to the class are accepted on a rolling basis – so fill out the attached form and apply NOW. 

Why: Participants gain unprecedented access to a series of curated investment mentors, and graduate-level business designers, to help them create a viable business around their new innovations.

Who: All of ASU's top Innovators who are interested in addressing pressing global challenges.

What: Students selected for Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) will receive access to personalized mentorship, a social impact curriculum, funding opportunities through CGI U partners and invites to student engagement, including the CIG U 2023 Annual Meeting at Vanderbilt University from March 3-5, 2023. Arizona State University supports student participation in the CGI U experience through additional networking and support opportunities. 

When: The deadline to apply is Dec 16, 2022.
