To the Burr Ridge Community,

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. We started celebrating with Deck the Green. While it was a bit too chilly, there was great energy and excitement. The many children there helped me light the huge Christmas tree. We noted all the people who celebrate differently but similarly during this time of year. The green was lined with booths filled with toys and gifts for purchase. It was an evening of entertainment and festivities, families and merriment.

A heartfelt thank you to our Public Works department for once again beautifully decorating the Village for the holidays. This detailed work takes hours in the cold and thousands of lights to make it happen. We appreciate their efforts in helping make Burr Ridge look especially warm, welcoming, and festive this time of year!

There are a number of impactful ways to give back to our community during this season of giving. The Burr Ridge/Versiti Mobile Blood Drive will be set up outside Village Hall this Friday, December 2nd and the Willowbrook/ Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Holiday Food Drive all month long. Thank you in advance for your contributions.

Happy Holidays to you and your families!

Sincerely,

Mayor Gary Grasso

  • While pumping gas, turn off your vehicle, take you keys with you, and lock your doors.
